suite no. 6 in f major (from six baroque suites)
suite no. 6 in f major (composed 1985, typset by Reddy 2006) is the culmination of a journey from innocence to experience throughout suites 1 to 6. It is the longest of the six, Handelian in places and with richer harmonic textures. The opening Prelude-Allemande, which echoes the Prelude of suite no. 1, is followed by a compound Menuet of the kind that Reddy had also used in the 4th and 5th suites. It continues with a grandiose Sarabande and ends with a virtuoso Ground Bass in 3/4 time.
