Lesotho Lefa la Rōna(Lesotho our Heritage)
Lesotho Lefa la Rōna was composed around 1978, in the last few years of Mohapeloa’s life. After he retired from his day job as proof-reader at Morija Printing Works, he was kept very busy establishing a new music department at the National Teachers’ Training College in Maseru, and during these years he revised several old songs. Lesotho Lefa la Rōna is a rewrite of the composer’s Coronation March of 1939, with a new Sesotho text in praise of Lesotho. The end pages of this score show a comparison between the old and new songs.
