idyll for johan

idyll for johan is the fifth and final piece in Reddy’s solo keyboard suite, friends suite: a touch of clazz I (2000). In 2001 he wrote a sequel encompassing more friends, friends suite: a touch of clazz II.

Reddy met classical guitarist Johan Rautenbach, now Yahyã Rautenbach in Windhoek in the early 1990s where they both taught as guest lecturers at the University of Namibia.

In the absence of a score, a recording is given below which is freely downloadable. It is a home performance given by Reddy in 2000 in Konstanz, Germany.
