african dance for hike
In 2000, Reddy composed a solo keyboard suite in which each of the pieces is dedicated to one of his friends, called friends’ suite: a touch of clazz I. In 2001 he wrote a sequel encompassing more friends, friends suite: a touch of clazz II. ‘Hike’ was Reddy’s name for his long-time partner, Heike Asmuss. He did not notate most of these pieces but played them at home and in concert. In the absence of a score for african dance for hike, which is the second piece in the 1st friends suite, a recording is given below, which Reddy made in their home in Konstanz, Germany. The photo of Surendran and Heike on the right was taken on the shores of Lake Constance (Bodensee in German) in the late 1990s.
