Sechaba se Kopanè

The year 1978 is only an approximate date, but Sechaba se Kopanè must have been written in the last years of Mohapeloa’s life for it was located in his former office in the National Teacher’s Training College of Lesotho, where he taught in 1978-81 after retirement. Several copies existed, so it was evidently sung by the NTTC choir. Two very similar songs are Chaba se Kopane! (JPM129) and Liaba (JPM137), and each version seems to adapt something familiar and much loved to different circumstances.
