Mohapeloa wrote many songs about birds, Leeba (The Dove) being one of his most popular, originally published in 1939. A performance by the Mamelodi Adult Choir (conductor not specified) was recorded by the SABC in 1983. This historic recording was re-issued by ACE in 2014 as Track 23 on the CD African Choral Legacy: Historic Recordings of Joshua Pulumo Mohapeloa.
