suite no. 5 in c major (from six baroque suites) (1985)

Catalogue no:

Suite no. 5 in c major was written in 1985 along with suite no. 6 in f major. Reddy's preface to the whole set explains how he conceived his way of writing contemporary music in an ancient style. This is the shortest and simplest of the six suites, with only three dances. Reddy combines Prelude with Allemande as he had in the 4th suite, and Menuet with Courante, while the third and final dance is a Sarabande. The suite was not dedicated until 2006, to his Swiss friend, Isabel Molina.
