jeux, cavatina and scherzo for flute and piano is a youthful work in three short movements, composed in 1979 for Reddy’s friend, Martin Feinstein, who was a flautist, and for whom he also wrote two other early flute works: poem for flute and piano and flute variations on an original theme (b-a-c-h-influenced). They were both students at the Royal College of Music, London, and must have performed it together. The score is a facsimile of the original manuscript.
